Gardening centre wins

BUDERIM is keeping its reputation as the garden town, with local gradening centre recently receiving the title of the "Queensland Plant Plus Store of the Year for 2004".
Buderim Landscape Centre’s Tony and Tiffany went to Sydney to receive the award, in front of 1400 delegates.
Tony said the award recognised the hard work that had taken place at the garden centre over the past year.
"The award was presented to the store with the largest turnover of stock relative to previous years, overall nursery presentation, customer service standards and its contribution to the Plants Plus group progress." he said.
"The effort and haste at which the nursery, shop and landscape yard has been rekindled is astounding and testament to the award being achieved after only 18 months.
The rejuvenation of the nursery and landscape business is not yet completed with more shop space being created for more easy gardening products and ideas."
As their business has grown over the past 18 months, staff numbers have also increased.
Buderim Chronicle columnist, Graham Ellis, heads up the experienced team of staff as the nursery supervisor, with all of the staff more than happy to assist customers with new makeover ideas for tired gardens.
"The knowledge, enthusiasm and commitment from all the staff to improve the premises and the products and services has been fantastic," Tony said.
"They're a great bunch to work with and I'm glad they've stuck around to enjoy the improvements we have made together. Our new shop foyer is a credit to the effort of our staff and it has certainly been a real delight to our customers to be able to enjoy the new surroundings." |
